Next Thursday: Reflectorize your bike wear

Wanna give your commuter apparel a little extra nighttime visibility? Join us next Thursday for a “Reflectorizing” event, where you can add reflective strips to your pants, jackets, or other favorite bicycle clothing.

We’ll have strips of iron-on reflective material available. $1 gets you a foot-long strip of material, or get a yard for $2. We’ll have a couple irons going at the shop and will help you apply the reflective to your clothes.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Because the reflective is iron-on, it’s for natural fabrics only (since they can take the heat). Wool, cotton, and denim garments will work great. Synthetics like nylon or polyester could melt.
  • Garments don’t have to be laundered, but they should be generally clean since the iron will “set” anything on the fabric.
  • Maybe obvious, but we can’t iron the clothes if you’re wearing them! Pack separately whatever items you want to reflectorize.

Thursday, November 20th, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the shop. See you then!
