Another stab at the bike helmet conundrum (style vs. safety). This one is pretty much unseen most of the time, as it is tucked away in a chic collar worn by the rider. An internal sensor detects sudden movement and rapidly inflates the helmet to cushion the cyclist’s head. Skeptical? Check out the video below for a crash-test-dummy demonstration.     1. Yup, there are helmet laws in many places (including Seattle), but not in all. But I think the idea is that this would qualify as a helmet (though local authorities might need convincing at first).
