October 1st is First Friday

"Heading Home" by Tess Jordan

We are excited to be participating in Fremont’s First Friday Art Walk this October 1st.

We met artist Tess Corinne Jordan through her sister-in-law (and huge fan), Steph Jordan.  Tess lives in Colorado, and Steph in Seattle (with Tess’s brother).  Tess has sent us a collection of lovely, dream-like paintings with bicycles. Tess describes her work as an exploration of the way memory changes with each layer of recollection.  Some things clear, others blurred.  You can get a small preview on Fremont’s Art Walk website.

We will be open until 9pm for October’s First Friday.  Come in, see for yourself and say ‘hi’ to Tess.

About Juliette

Juliette is a co-founder of Hub and Bespoke. Juliette has worked in product development for twenty years; initially in sportswear apparel design and then home textile products. Born of a French mother Juliette was taught early the importance of a beautiful presentation for all that was mundane. It must be pleasing to the eye as well as suitable. It is this sensibility that informs her approach to design: elegant solutions for everyday needs. She believes that design must reach beyond form and gather in purpose to guide the product development process; always asking “for what good?” With Hub and Bespoke Juliette hopes to: (a) curate a collection of elegant solutions and products that entices others to overcome perceived or real barriers to getting on their bikes, and (b) simplify the decision to take to two wheels.
